Shame on us?

I'm shocked that such a health-conscious magazine forgot to mention that the "formula" proven best (over soy or cow's milk bases) is the one provided by nature: breast milk ["A Proven Formula," Nov., p. 10]. Was that a "shame on you?"

Our stance on breast milk has never changed. It is the No. 1 choice for nurturing infants. However, for many reasons, there are lots of parents who must rely on formula. Our position is not to judge, but rather, to inform.
