No, no, Nora

Vegetarian Times, Nov, 2002 by Cassandra Hetherington

While very much pleased to see a feature article on a Washington, DC, restaurant ("Living Organic: Nora," August 2002), I was disappointed that you chose Restaurant Nora and Asia Nora. Having eaten at both establishments, I can attest to the fact that neither location has more than one vegetarian entree on its menu. You can only imagine my disappointment as I was forced to pick the only item on each menu that I could eat.

Our intention was to focus on celebrated chef Nora Pouillon, a champion of the organic food movement that she helped found, rather than her Washington, DC-based restaurants--utilizing her culinary talents to create fabulous vegetarian recipes for the home cook.

We've happily dined at both restaurants and, although there is only one vegetarian entree per restaurant, there are mouth-watering appetizers, salads and desserts to beautifully suit the vegetarian palate.
