Reader-friendly

Vegetarian Times, Nov, 2002

Thank you for a magazine that's friendly to all of its readers. I am 16, and when I recently became a vegetarian, I received the magazine as a gift from my non-vegetarian father. Since becoming a vegetarian, however, I've been faced with the same question most vegetarians are asked: "What do you eat?" It is a pleasure to be able to hand them this magazine to read and educate them. Keep on doing what you do best!

I wanted to respond to a letter that was in your July 2002 VT. It was about how you should know who your readers are. I think you truly do know who your readers are: people who are vegetarian and non-vegetarians who seek healthy lifestyles. I am a non-vegetarian who buys and reads your magazine all the time, and I am sure I will subscribe to it in the future. I also own a cookbook that is called Almost Vegetarian. That's how I think of myself. Thanks for a great magazine with great ideas for all kinds of cooks!

I am a new subscriber to VT, and I love the magazine! I had to chuckle when I read the letter in the July 2002 issue stating that "you are fooling yourself if you think many of your readers are not vegan." A non-vegan friend of mine introduced me to VT. Even though I too am a non-vegan, I enjoyed your delightful recipes and decided to subscribe. Now I can't wait to try out your new dishes.
