In the October 1997 issue of VT, an article appeared called "Start Your Own Veg Group."

I was fascinated by the idea. I had just moved into a retirement park near Leesburg, Florida, and I needed a project. I wondered if anyone might be interested in forming a veg group. I posted a notice, and in a few weeks I had a list of 38 names.

The group has been meeting once a month for five years, and the attendance averages 40 to 50 people per meeting. The program consists of a vegetarian potluck dinner followed by a video or a speaker discussing vegetarianism or general good health. Please reprint that article, because interest in vegetarianism is soaring.
