Tea of life - Letter to the Editor
Vegetarian Times, July, 2003 by Anne Haas
I'm not one to do testimonials, but I have to share this with your readers. My husband has a long history of heart disease in his family, and 10 years ago he had to have a six-section bypass. Although he made various dietary changes and took his prescribed medicines, his cholesterol count remained high. Six months ago he started drinking tea and eating a pickled garlic clove every day. When he had his last test, his cholesterol count was cut in half. I know how unbelievable this sounds, but it's true! I've always drunk tea, and now I eat the garlic too.
