Hair of the dog - scoop - allergic reaction to dogs found to be less in people who were exposed to dogs as babies - Brief Article

Vegetarian Times,  August, 2003

Exposure to a dog in the first year of life seems to strengthen a baby's immune system, according to a study presented at a March 2003 American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology meeting. Only 19 percent of infants exposed to dogs developed allergies later in life, compared to 33 percent of those not exposed to dogs.
