I recently caught up with vegetarian actress Shannon Elizabeth (American Pie) while catering the Sunset Oasis Wellness Suite for the MTV Movie Awards. Shannon--who loved my lunchtime menu of Grilled Veggie Burgers, Silk Chocolate Shakes and Maranatha Organic Peanut Butter Cookies--told me about the nonprofit foundation called Animal Avengers that she founded 3 years ago with her husband, movie actor Joseph D.
Reitman. Animal Avengers rescues dogs, cats and other animals from the streets and shelters, especially those at risk of euthanasia (www.animalavengers.org).
