Disappointing donuts

Vegetarian Times,  May, 2004  by Michelle Hall

"Buyer Beware" (February 2004) was perfectly timed. I had a horrible craving for donuts one day--and I'm a typical health nut--so I stopped in Wal-Mart and bought a box of prepackaged donuts, figuring the kids and hubby would eat most. To my horror, after eating one, I noticed one of the ingredients read, "Contains one or more of the following: lard, beef fat." I would have never thought of checking the label on a box of donuts.
