Not just for abrasions
Vegetarian Times, July-August, 2004 by Lisa Griffin
I was surprised that the author of "Orange Alert" (April 2004) didn't mention the effectiveness of using 3 percent food-grade hydrogen peroxide as a disinfecting wash for fruits and vegetables. (Add 1/4 cup of 3 percent food-grade hydrogen peroxide to a sink full of cold water. Wash vegetables, rinse and drain.) Hydrogen peroxide is also great for soaking seeds for sprouting. (Add 1 ounce of 3 percent food-grade hydrogen peroxide to 16 ounces water, then soak seeds overnight.) I read about food-grade hydrogen peroxide years ago and have been using it ever since.
