It's where

A primary ingredient in rocket fuel called perchlorate has been detected in the breast milk of women in 18 states. Perchlorate can interfere with the function of the thyroid gland of children and adults. In children, this disruption can result in mental retardation. But nursing mothers shouldn't overreact.
Although perchlorate is present in breast milk "at levels that nature surely did not intend," lead researcher Purnendu Dasgupta, PhD, of Texas Tech University, tells VT that breastfeeding is still so beneficial that he does not recommend that women stop, "even for a day," unless further studies reveal higher levels of the chemical. Dasgupta's findings appear in the February 22, 2005 online edition of Environmental Science & Technology.
