Eat early, lose weight
Vegetarian Times, June, 2005
Breakfast--the most important meal of the day, we've been told--may be vital to weight control. In a British study, women who skipped the morning meal consumed more calories during the rest of the day, suggesting that breakfast is important to long-term weight control. The researchers, whose findings appear in the February 2005 issue of The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, say their work confirms earlier studies that link breakfasts of whole-grain cereals to lower body weight.

The researchers also found that LDL ("bad" cholesterol) went up in healthy women when they skipped breakfast--apparently the result of eating junkier food later in the day.
