Call of the wild

A ringing cell phone that sounds the cry of the Mexican gray wolf or the warble of the beluga whale is almost guaranteed to start a conversation on the plight of these and other threatened species. The voices of these creatures also stirs in us--even cramped in an office cubicle--a primal delight in the natural world.
