Freedom to create

Vegetarian Times, Oct, 2008 by Ula Bochinska

A year ago, my husband won a year's subscription to VT. We were glad, but could not have foreseen its impact. One year later, I must admit that your magazine literally changed our lives. We had both been nonmeat eaters for a while, but we'd been using a bunch of recipes from a couple of cookbooks over and over again and had gotten bored with the lack of variety. This past year, not only did we get a monthly injection of inspiration through original recipes and mouth-watering photographs, but we also got a whole new outlook on how exciting being vegetarian can be. We cook recipes from every issue (the best ones make it into my keepsake folder), and have even learned to modify them to our tastes: keeping certain ingredients out, substituting, and introducing new ingredients. I feel real freedom in the kitchen now, and it makes me extremely happy (and healthy too). This week we received an invitation to renew our subscription, and we immediately extended it for two more years.

Thank you for such a truly amazing and inspiring magazine.
