Make working lunches work for you: a practical guide to navigating business lunches - Getting Started

Vegetarian Times, Feb, 1995 by Mary Huhn

Chicago may be known as the beef industry capital, but plenty of restaurants cater to non-meat eaters. Though it's open for dinner only, CHARLIE TROTTER'S (816 W. Armitage; [312] 248-6228) is the place to close a big deal. Vegetarians and meat eaters alike can enjoy Trotter's famous degustation: one menu features meat and fish, the other is purely vegetarian, with such dishes as lasagna made of turnip and pumpkin with leeks.

For dinner or lunch, vegetarians will find plenty of options as SPIAGGIA, (980 N. Michigan Ave.; [312] 280-2750). A regular haunt for ad execs, the restaurant offers a variety of vegetarian pizzas and pastas, as well as an assorted grilled vegetable platter.
