So if a cold or flu virus has invaded your inner garden, don't go running for the weed wacker. Follow common wisdom: Eat lightly, drink plenty of fluids and get lots of rest. As Norman Cousins, the late writer and health advocate, used to say about healing, "Your grandmother was right."
