Feel sad? Exercise! - lifelines - Brief Article

Vibrant Life, Jan-Feb, 2004

A recent University of Florida study showed that those who tend to be more negative, apprehensive, or lonely get much bigger emotional boosts from exercising than those who aren't suffering from such conditions.

The study also found that the link between physical activity and mood was independent of good and bad daily events such as job performance or work and personal relationships. Results suggest that physical activity can have profound benefits for those who tend to have more psychological or emotional difficulties.
