Physician Executive, Jan-Feb, 2003

Anthony Oliva, DO, CPE, was recently named vice president of medical affairs at Bayhealth Medical Center in Dover, Del. In this role, Oliva oversees the physician credentialing process, medical staff relations, performance improvement and utilization management. Oliva previously served as VPMA at Glean General Hospital in Glean, N.Y., for five years.

He was also previously faculty and curriculum coordinator for University of Buffalo's rural family practice residency program in Glean, chief medical officer for the Seneca Nation of Indians in Salamanca, N.Y., in private practice, and a family physician with the rank of captain in the United States Air Force. He is currently working toward a master's degree in medical management.
