Thomas G. Lundquist, MD, MMM, is senior vice president, chief medical officer for DoctorQuality, Inc., which provides medical error and adverse event reporting applications to over 100 hospitals across the country. Adverse events are reported in real time to hospital leaders who can then implement changes to improve patient outcomes, often before the patient ever leaves the hospitals.

Lundquist will be working closely with leaders of patient safety initiatives in all their client hospital and will serve in helping to establish and further enhance cultures of blame-free error reporting. He will also be instrumental in analyzing the over 70,000 adverse events DoctorQuality already has in its national comparative database. Prior to joining DoctorQuality, Inc., he was vice president, performance improvement of Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa. Before that he served as medical director for Allegheny University Medical Practices. A graduate of Penn State University, Lundquist received his medical degree f rom The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He earned his Masters in Medical Management from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
