New ACPE board members elected

Physician Executive, July-August, 2005

ACPE is pleased to announce our three newest board members who were elected by the membership at the Spring Institute meeting in Boston.

ACPE is also pleased to announce the new Board officers for the next year:

Harry L. Leider, MD, MBA, FACPE is the chief medical officer of XLHealth, a rapidly growing national disease management firm specializing in diabetes, cardiac disease and chronic renal disease. He has been a member of ACPE since 1989 and a core faculty member of the college for the last eight years.

Raymond Fabius, MD, CPE, FAAP, FACPE is president and chief medical officer of I-TRAX, an integrated health and productivity management firm. He has been a member of ACPE since 1987 and received Distinguished Fellowship in 2002. He was the recipient of the Robert A. Henry Literary Award for his second book, Total Care Management, in 2001.

John W. Richards, Jr., MD, MMM, CPE, FACPE is owner, president and CEO of Innovative Health Strategies, AWAC.md, and iProcert in Augusta, Ga. He has been a member of ACPE since 1992.

The new ACPE President is Barry Silbaugh, MD, MS, FACPE who is vice president, medical operations for Catholic Health Initiatives in Albuquerque, N.M. He has been a member of ACPE since 1991.

The Vice President is Chalmers Nunn, MD, MMM, CPE, FACPE, who is the chief executive officer of Gastroenterology Associates of Central Virginia. He has been a member of ACPE since 1993.

The Secretary Treasurer is Stephen Schoenbaum, MD, MPH, CPE, FACPE, who is executive vice president for programs of The Commonwealth Fund in New York, N.Y. He has been a member of ACPE since 1988.
