Eric Larson, MD, MPH, is research director for Group Health Cooperative in Seattle. Larson heads the organization's Center for Health Studies, a research institution that promotes the prevention and treatment of major health problems. Larson is widely recognized for his work with aging, dementia and technology assessment.

Previously, he served as medical director for the University of Washington Medical Center. Larson graduated from Harvard Medical School and later earned his master's degree in public health. He also serves as a commissioner on the Joint Commission for Accreditation of Health Care Organizations and as a regent with American College of Physicians.
