Neal Friedman, MD, is medical director for disease management at WellSpan Health and medical drector for South Central Preferred in York, Pa. Previously, he served as a consultant specializing in care management and was vice president and medical director for quality improvement at Kaleida Health in Buffalo, N.Y.

He also was clinical associate professor of medicine at SUNY at Buffalo. Friedman spent many years an an endocrinologist and held several positions in disease management and clinical and health services research at lovelace Health Systems and the Lovelace Clinic Foundation in Albuquerque, N.M. He is a graduate of Temple University School of Medicine and has been an ACPE member since 1999.
