I was dismayed to read about your former senior editor Alexa Joy Sherman's book The Happy Hook-Up: A Single Girl's Guide to Casual Sex (Shape Your Life News, October). When I buy Shape, I encourage my 14-year-old daughter to read it, because I want her to understand the facts about true health, good nutrition and body image. Be assured that I will use this article as an opportunity to teach her why her body is precious and should not be used casually for anything.
