You told us: in October, we asked you to share what you love most about your body. Here's what some of you told us

Shape,  Jan, 2005  by Sharon Jones,  Joanne Picard,  Gayle Salter,  Maureen Corbin,  Amy Sandy,  Kelly Bergner,  Nina Eirhart

* I love my abs. They're well-defined, and I'm not at all embarrassed to wear a bikini. It shows that working out faithfully pays off!

--Sharon Jones, Big Spring, Texas

* I love my mind, because it reminds me to eat at least five vegetables and fruits each day and gets me to the gym to lift weights when I am tired.

--Joanne Picard, Pasadena, Calif.

* I love my legs. As an active senior lady (65 years old), my legs get lots of exercise. I'm a tap dancer and I was on a drill team for seven years.

--Gayle Salter, Surprise, Ariz.

* The thing I like most about my body is how it responds to good nutrition and exercise programs. As a result, I'm in good health and feel strong--both physically and mentally.

--Maureen Corbin, Great Neck, N.Y.

* I love my collarbones. I was overweight most of my adult life, and I have managed to lose over 100 pounds. I remember looking into the bathroom mirror one day and being shocked to see that I actually had collarbones. Since that day, I've relished them!

--Amy Sandy, Cusseta, Ga.

* What I love best about my body is being tall. At 5-foot-9 I can stand in a crowded room and see over heads. And it's easy to reach the top shelf!

--Kelly Bergner, Maiden Rock, Wis.

* I love my feet! I grew up being teased about my toes, which appear to be webbed. I hated my feet and consulted my doctor about removing the extra skin. He pointed out that what's different about a person is beautiful. I've since embraced my toes.

--Nina Eirhart, Terre Haute, Ind.
