Professional golfer and loyal Shape reader Annika Sorenstam shares her secret to keeping her head in the game: "Everyone's going to hit a bad shot [or have a down day]," she says. "Carrying that thought with you for the rest of the day almost guarantees you'll do it again." Instead, she uses a visual reminder to turn her thoughts around: "Before an especially tough round, I write 'Face the fear' on the brim of my hat," says Sorenstam. "Then, when I get anxious, I look up at the phrase and remember that I've trained hard to win."
