feet fight breast cancer Help battle breast cancer on foot by signing up for a fund-raising walk to coincide with National Breast Cancer Awareness month. The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation has five 60-mile Breast Cancer 3-Day Walks planned this fall: Twin Cities, Minn. (from Shakopee to St. Paul, Sept. 10-12), San Diego (Oct. 1-3), Los Angeles (Oct. 8-10), San Francisco (Oct. 15-17) and Arizona (from Scottsdale to Tempe, Oct. 22-24). Participants commit to raising a minimum of $2,000 for breast-cancer research, education, screening and treatment programs. For more information, log on to the3day.org.

Or sign up for an Avon Walk for Breast Cancer event, which gives walkers a choice of covering either 26.2 miles, the length of a marathon, or 39.3 miles in two days, while raising a minimum of $1,800 for the Avon Foundation Breast Cancer Crusade.
