Mood boosters of the month: Need a pick-me-up? A night at the movies might be just the ticket. Here are two uplifting films hitting theaters this month

Shape, Oct, 2005 by Nancy Monson

In Her Shoes (20th Century Fox) Sibling rivalry gets kicked up a notch in the chick flick In Her Shoes, based on the best-selling novel by Good in Bed author Jennifer Weiner. Cameron Diaz stars as gorgeous, irresponsible Maggie, with Toni Collette as uptight, practical Rose, two sisters who have nothing in common except their love for size 8 1/2 shoes.

Elizabethtown (Paramount Pictures) Writer/director Cameron Crowe (Jerry Maguire, Almost Famous) is back with another poignant piece. Hunky Orlando Bloom plays Drew Baylor, who returns home for his father's over-the-top Kentucky funeral. As the dramedy unfolds, Drew finds a new purpose in life and falls for flight attendant Claire Colburn (Kirsten Dunst).
