Dog-gone allergies - Asthma & Allergy Update

Cats have a reputation for provoking asthma attacks, but dogs may not be so innocent. In a study of 809 adults with asthma, Timothy Craig, D.O., a professor of medicine and pediatrics at Penn State's College of Medicine in Hershey, found that cats caused allergic reactions in more people, yet dogs caused a more severe reaction in asthmatics who were allergic to them.
