Not-so-Super Water
Shape, Feb, 2002
Can drinks that claim to contain up to 10 times more oxygen than normal tap water actually give you a superior workout? To find out, the American Council on Exercise commissioned a study in which 12 college-age men and women drank 16 ounces of either the "super water" or regular tap water, then took a treadmill test that measured their heart rate, blood pressure, perceived exertion and oxygen consumption at various stages.
A week later, they repeated the tests, drinking the other water. The "super water" was not linked to measurable improvement in any area.
