These new hair-care products can help invigorate your locks -- and your looks.

Matrix Trix ($15-$16; 800-6-MATRIX) styling products are easy to use and versatile; there's everything from a molding clay (for a piecy look) to a smoothing cream. Ingredient tip: The added beeswax/castor-seed oil helps hold styles and keeps hair from drying out.

Kiehl's Solid Grooming Aid for Conditioning and Control ($14; kiehls.com) gives medium hold and helps tame flyaways. Ingredient tip: It contains vitamin E and jojoba and olive oils -- all good-for-the-hair conditioners.

Neutrogena T/Gel Overnight Dandruff Treatment ($9; at drugstores) fights flakes and a dry, itchy scalp while you sleep. Manufacturer clinical studies showed that after four weeks of nightly use, dandruff was reduced significantly. Ingredient tip: The salicylic acid helps exfoliate the scalp.

Aveda Light Elements Smoothing Fluid ($23; aveda.com) weightlessly conditions and smoothes strands, giving high shine and movement. Just rub a small amount between palms, and then work through damp hair. Ingredient tip: It contains 100 percent organic lavender water, which helps smooth hair.

Phyto-Life Age De Phy Rejuvenating Shampoo ($24; phyto-life.com) moisturizes and adds shine to dry, coarse hair while gently exfoliating the scalp. Ingredient tip: The natural blend contains lemon extract as a scalp-tingling antiseptic, and softeners like honey and soy protein.
