A better dessert choice would be light ice cream, which contains 100-150 calories per 1/2 cup and little or no saturated fat, along with 100 milligrams of calcium. (Regular ice cream contains about 150 calories per 1/2 cup and 5 grams of saturated fat; premium ice cream, such as Haagen-Dazs, has--depending on the flavor--about 300 calories and up to 11 grams of saturated fat.) You also can try substituting a fat-free pudding cup (80-100 calories).
