While volumizing sprays can create lift in spots (e.g., your roots or crown), they're of little use to those with fine, thin hair who require allover oomph. Thankfully, a few companies have introduced thickening sprays--stylers that coat strands with strengthening ingredients like wheat proteins and ceramides to plump up the whole hair shaft.
"For best results, mist the thickener over your entire head, then tousle your hair with your fingers to distribute it evenly," says Eliut Rivera, owner of the Eliut Rivera salon in New York City. Two to try: Fekkai All-Day Hair Plump ($95; fekkai.com for stores) and Logics Color DNA System Thickening Style Spray ($18; logicshair.com for salons).
