New Society award stimulates collaboration among researchers - National MS Society - "Collaborative MS Research Center Award" - Brief Article

Inside MS, Jan-March, 2003

The National MS Society has created a "Collaborative MS Research Center Award" program to stimulate creative interaction among investigators working in MS and non-MS research fields. The idea is simple: Get groups of three or more researchers to collaborate on new ideas and recruit talented investigators to the MS field. The new five-year award can involve collaborative research among investigators working within a single institution or in different institutions. Groups that include at least one person conducting research in a non-MS research area have been given an edge in the competition.

The first round of applications for the award was submitted to the Society last October, and collaborative projects will begin this spring.
