"Don't touch that remote!" - National MS Society - overview of "There Is Help," the National Multiple Sclerosis Society's new multimedia public service ad campaign - Brief Article

Inside MS, Jan-March, 2003

Keep your eyes and ears open to catch the National MS Society's new multimedia public service ad campaign, "There Is Help". It promises to tug heartstrings and raise public awareness of multiple sclerosis. Karen Dresbach from the Society's South Florida Chapter came up with the idea of filming a diverse group of children trying to pronounce "multiple sclerosis". The point of the ad is that not only is it difficult to say, it's even more difficult for families to live with--but there is help at the National MS Society. In a complementary TV ad, Priscilla Mangnall of the Western Slope Office at the Colorado Chapter roped in country music giant Clay Walker, who has MS, to do a spot on how you too can help the Society in the fight against MS.

The Society sends public service ads to more than 1,300 TV and 5,000 radio stations across the country. These broadcast spots are supported by ads sent to 400 magazines.
