TORONTO--Pamela Anderson arguably had a greater role than Al Gore in making the Web what it is today, and now she's going to give a band its big break. Anderson's Internet production company, PamTV, partners with beer.com for a "Jam with Pam" contest. Bands have until June 30 to submit an MP3 file of their music to www.jamwithpam.com so visitors can vote for their favorites.

Voting also enters consumers in a sweepstakes for a trip to Los Angeles to sit in on a recording session. A "Six Pack" of songs will emerge as finalists from which Anderson and a celebrity panel will choose the winner. The champion band gets a professionally produced CD and a gig at Rolling Rock's Town Fair in August. Beer.com, introduced by Interbrew, cross promotes. Brand-Cast, LA., handles program execution.
