Virgin Celebrates 'Forever 70s' Music Era

LOS ANGELES--Virgin Megastores nationwide promote classic rock with the "Forever '70s Sale "through month's end. Grass roots cross marketing includes a '70s-themed compilation CD featuring hits from Kansas, Boston, Santana, REO Speedwagon and Toto, plus other '70s-influenced CDs and movies. Virginmega.com is sponsoring an original songwriting contest in which the grand-prize winner receives a recording studio valued at $6,000, courtesy of Roland Musical Instruments.

Additional support includes corporate window displays nationwide and a Volkswagen "Love Bug," plastered with the sale logo cruising Los Angeles.
