FT.WASHINGTON, PA.--CDNow.com's first initiative from its year-long $6 million "Never Miss a Beat" effort is reopening the Award Central portion of its Web site. Set to go live this month, the site will offer promotions and discounts for artists featured in Q1 music award shows, including the Grammys, Academy Awards and American Music Awards.

Award Central will be supported by national radio spots and online at AOL, AltaVista and by the site's affiliate members. Agency Hampel Stefanides, New York, handles. Budget is roughly the same as last year.
