Canandaigua Ups White Wine Ads - Alice White, $1 million print campaign - Brief Article

Brandweek, May 14, 2001 by Kenneth Hein

Canandaigua's Alice White, a wine made in the U.S. with grapes imported from Australia, will bow a $1 million print campaign in July in Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast with the tag: "Fun Aussie Taste, Unbelievable Value!" The brand is also being supported with a national promotion, Hop Down Under," in which consumers can win a trip to Australia.

As a result of parent firm Corus' recent acquisition by Canandaigua, the brand will see increased print ads while also testing its first radio spots, said Tim Peters, brand manager at Alice White, Concord, Calif.
