The Temple of Tomb Raider - video game character used in Pepsi-Cola Co. commercial

Brandweek, May 21, 2001 by Becky Ebenkamp

A faceless Lara Croft rides into a tech-music temple of doom to promote the film more than the soda. Likely, her vagueness is driven by the fact that it was easier to hire a double than star Angelina Jolie, not because the studio ordered images of her as the videogame heroine to be kept under wraps. As spear-wielding guards jab at Croft, idols chase a Pepsi, then turn to stone.
