Wrigley Gets Sticky with Aaron Carter, Radio Disney - Wrigley's Juicy Fruit brand to sponsor Radio Disney music festival - Brief Article

Brandweek, June 4, 2001

CHICAGO--Wrigley's Juicy Fruit gum upgrades from last year's platinum status to a presenting sponsorship this year for Radio Disney's live, free eight-city U.S. concert tour with Aaron Carter and other tween/teen music favorites. The August-October, family-friendly amphitheater events will have Disney Interactive games in a festival area, execs said; start date coincides with RD's weeklong sweepstakes trip offering backstage private visit with teen performers.

Like last year, Wrigley has no plans for in-store or media support; sponsor tie-ins do include sampling, interactive booth and overall concert presence. Also, the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is a cause-marketing partner, promoting bone health for girls via literature distribution at events.
