Ford Acquires Beanstalk Group, Eves Expanded Licensing - Ford Motor Co., expanding brand awareness - Brief Article

DETROIT--Ford Motor Co. has purchased The Beanstalk Group licensing firm to expand brand awareness for Volvos, Jaguars, Land Rovers and other models. Terms were not disclosed. Beanstalk's clients have included Coca-Cola, AT&T and Harley-Davidson. Linden Nelson, CEO of Ford's iDentify merchandising unit, will be CEO of a merged operation under the Beanstalk banner.

Beanstalk head quarters will be in Detroit with offices in Los Angeles, London and NewYork. Beanstalk co-founders Seth Siegel and Michael Stone stay on as evps. Ford licensed merchandise generated $800 million at retail last year, according to a rep.
