AT&T, Blockbuster, Levi's, Motorola, Pepsi, Sega, Sony Electronics and Taco Bell all signed up as sponsors of the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards, airing live Sept. 7 from N.Y's Radio City Music Hall. Nominees for the 17th annual ceremony will be announced in July ... A new addition to November's 74th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will be a 68-foot long Cassie balloon, a character from the animated series, Dragon Tales.

Premiering on PBS Kids last September, the show is a co-production of Sesame Workshop and Sony Pictures Family Entertainment... PERSONNEL: General Motors named James M. Campbell, currently brand manager for Corvette and Camaro, brand manager of the S-10 Pickup. Campbell succeeds Debra Kelly Ennis, who was recently named Oldsmobile general manager. Succeeding Campbell as Corvette/Camaro brand manager is Rick Baldick, currently assistant brand manager-product for the Silverado full-size pickup ... ASSIGNMENTS: Buy.com retained Hill & Knowlton's Sports Marketing Group, Aliso Viejo, Calif., to promot e its title sponsorship of the Buy.com Tour, a developmental circuit affiliated with the PGA Tour. In addition to pr opportunities, H&K will develop specific promotional programs to augment the sponsorship.
