Disney's Buena Vista Internet Group, North Hollywood, Calif., and Infoseek, Sunnyvale, Calif., have instituted a new advertising policy on GO Network, their joint venture. Following the lead of companies like computer giant IBM, as of Oct. 1, GO Network and its sites will only accept or purchase advertising from Web sites that post privacy policies regarding user information.
