Staples Goes Offline to Nail Down Online Shoppers

> FRAMINCHAM, MASS.--Staples, the office supply retailer, this week launches a multi-media offline campaign to drive traffic to its Web site, www.staples.com. Themed "Your online office manager;" the pitch, via agency Cliff Freeman, NewYork, includes a 30-second spot to air on network, cable and spot TV this autumn, augmented by radio and newspaper ads, billboard, direct marketing and in-store signage.
