Ross Scott Rubin

Ross Scott Rubin, head of research architecture at N.Y.-based consultancy Jupiter Media Metro gets gadgets--lots of 'em. His favorite glzmos are a virtual who's who (or what's what) of digital diversions: he's got a Cybiko; a cross between a Palm organizer and a Game Boy, aimed at teens; a Modo wireless event organizer, from Scout Electromedia; a Nomad Jukebox from Creative Technology, a Discman-sized device that stores about 100 hours of digital music on a hard disk--"it can store an entire CD collection and record new songs at CD quality," he says; a Digital Wallet from Minds@Work, a smart hard disk that can accept data from all kinds of media used in portable digital devices; and the iTag from Xenote, a keychain-sized device that you point at the radio to save information on what was playing at a certain time.
