Playboy is jumping on the Victoria's Secret bandwagon. In November the company will hold a simulcast on its Web site and cable channel to unveil "Club. Lingerie," featuring "Playboy's own line of revealing and intimate apparel." Just like the Victoria's Secret event that preceded it, this should be a big hit with lingerie lovers everywhere.

Far be it from IQ to comment on whether this was exactly the way that any of us wanted the Net to reach its apotheosis as a medium rich with mesmerizing content.
