When Toys "R" Us and Amazon announced they would leverage their respective strengths to sell toys online this holiday season, the venture garnered praise from many However, Mooney says, the jury is still out until the consumer weighs in. "It's vital for both companies--especially Toys "R" Us, which cant afford to blow it two years in a row--that the customer has a great experience," Mooney said.

"And right now, that's questionable because there are glitches. Toys "R" Us customers will have to set up a new account, policies are different for Toys "R" Us and Babies "R" Us and gifts cannot be returned to stores. Customers could be confused as to who they're doing business with. There are lots of hurdles for shoppers to overcome."
