Satellite Net Beaming $50M Support for Ultimate TV - WebTV Networks Inc., marketing campaign - Brief Article

PALO ALTO, CALIF-Microsoft unit WebTV Networks this week will launch teaser TV spots for its Ultimate TV satellite set-top box. The $50 million effort, via FCB Worldwide, San Francisco, is set to launch in early March, a WebTV rep said. Creative for the teaser spot features a black background showing a TV signal in the center of the screen flashing until it explodes into a baby-blue background, replete with techno music.

"Relax, nothing's wrong with your TV," a voiceover states. "It's just fine." The narration outlines how Ultimate TV will "change the way you look at TV forever," "shift time" and "let you be at two places at once."
