DHL expansion

U.S.-based DHL Worldwide Express announced it will invest US$30 million in its Latin American operations between now and mid- 1999 to meet the demands of burgeoning growth in the region. The company plans to improve its hub in Panama City, Panama; buy three Boeing 727 aircraft; develop a hub in Buenos Aires; and upgrade facilities in several countries.
The company says business in the region is growing 20% each year.
