Best frequent flier program: AAdvantage

Latin Trade, Feb, 2004

Once again, our readers gave top honors to American Airline's frequent-flier program. AAdvantage kicked off in 1981 with 283,000 members. Today it boasts more than 45 million frequent fliers around the planet. Like the company that formed it, AAdvantage holds the "world's largest" superlative, and its participation in the Oneworld airline alliance give it an even broader appeal. Oneworld's network encompasses more than 1,500 participating companies, including 25 airlines, 35 hotel groups representing 75 hotel brand names, eight car rental companies and three telecommunications companies.

The ease with which mileage and other premiums can be claimed, as well as its good service, clinched the contest for AAdvantage, according to LATIN TRADE readers.
