TELEFONOS DE MEXICO (TELMEX), a Mexican telecommunications company, said it wrapped up an acquisition of a 38% stake in its Brazilian subsidiary Embratel for US$270 million. Telmex now controls 90.25% of Embratel's common stock and 33.6% of shares issued.
